“Let the moon teach you the art of being beautiful and lonely at the same time.”
Anand Thakur
Welcome to my blog. Grab yourself a warm cup of tea (or coffee) and make yourself comfortable.
My name is Leigh and I’ve been a blogger for a very long time. I love writing, art, and beautiful things, and enjoy sharing it with the world.
My blog has come a long way. It started off as a photography blog, then became a design and art blog, and later returned to photography. Somewhere along the way, I got hooked on reading. I’ve always been a reader, but in 2013, I was going through some difficult times, and reading helped me immensely. I began reviewing the books on Goodreads and have continued to do so ever since. Eventually, I started adding book reviews to this blog as well. I haven’t been very consistent with it, but I’m doing my best.
I still love crafting and scrapbooking and have added planning (bullet journaling) to my list of hobbies, but reading now consumes most of my time.
It was in 2008 that I joined WordPress and it’s been the longest blogging platform I’ve been with. Before that, I used a hosting company…can’t remember the name of the company but they probably don’t exist anymore. And, before that, it was Live Journal and Angelfire.
I started blogging as a way to deal with the stresses of undergraduate life. It was my sanctuary—my safe place to express myself. As time passed, it became a place to share my creativity and parts of my life.
Writing has been a passion of mine since I was twelve. I have a few old notebooks filled with stories tucked away somewhere in the basement. In my younger years, I mainly wrote fiction. My first full-length novel idea actually started during my last couple of years in high school. As life happened, I’ve had to set the story aside. Even then, I was able to write a few paragraphs here and there throughout the ups and downs of family life.
When I was in my graduate program, I finally completed that story as part of my capstone project. One day, I hope to publish it. In the meantime, I’ve published other stories under pen names. I currently have another blog where I share my writing. You can visit it here: The Writing Sparrow.
Please enjoy your stay and come back anytime.
I finally posted my very first blog entry. Check it out. Also, do you know where India’s blog is. Also, how view my blog subscriptions? I subsribed to your blog and Tag’s, but when I try to view my subs, I just get the list of wordpress ones.

Awesome! I didn’t know India had a blog. I’ll have to ask her. You should be able to see them when you click on your stats. It’s usually on the bottom left. You can click on that link and it should list them. Let me know if this makes sense. Cool site, btw!!

Give it a try. I’ve heard those who went digital never went back to paper. That didn’t work for me though. I’ll always like paper too.
