This is my A6 Hobonichi Techo 2024 (ends April 2025). I use this planner to journal every day life stuff. It started out as a genre-writing note-taking tracker, but I wasn’t taking notes for my stories everyday so decided to turn it into an everyday journal. I also wanted to start using my fountain pens and inks. I’ve got this really nice archival ink by De Atramentis that I wanted to put to good use. I’m not a pen or ink collector, I just have a few.
The cover for the planner is called Twinkle-Shells. It’s designed by Japanese artist, Hiroko Kubota. I’m not familiar with this artist. I just like their artwork for this cover. I mean, the outer space theme was just too cute to pass up! I got the cover last year during its original release.
I’m currently working in two A6 Techos: an English version, and a Japanese version. The English version is used for gratitude journaling and bible scriptures. The Japanese version is what’s pictured here. I like to add stickers, washi tapes, and ephemera to my journaling to make it fun. It also helps me use up all the things I’ve collected over the years.

I try to journal every day life things that cross my mind and stay away from politics and anything depressing or sad. I want these memories to be happy ones. However, there are just some things that can’t be avoided, so in those cases, I will mention the situation and/or attach an image.
Do you journal in a Hobonichi? I’d love to hear. If not, what journals do you use to journal?

Beautiful pages 😍 I like Peter Pauper Press journals.
