Daily writing prompt
If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?
I’d be Colonel Wilma Deering from Buck Rogers. I always thought she was so calm yet so smart. She’d always rescue Buck Rogers or at least try to from wherever he was at. I also loved her outfits. There was an episode where she was in the brig and she found her way out. I can’t remember exactly how it happened or if she was able to trick the soldier to let her out but I loved that episode. I actually have the Buck Rogers DVD set and had watched a few episodes last year. I need to find time to watch it all.
From My Corner of the Universe 
I think that my choice would be Max Cherry in Jackie Brown. There was a particularly humbled dignity to his character that I think many men deep down inside can aspire to. Such a male role model can seem very rare in films these days which makes them all the more appreciable.
