Book Review: Time Limits (Book 1)

Time Limits: A Marc McKnight Time Travel Adventure by Kim Megahee

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a murder mystery with a time travel twist. A murder occurred in 1985, and even fifty years later, no one has discovered who committed it. Marc McKnight is tasked with traveling back in time to uncover the truth. His assignment was simple: install a camera and observe. However, things become complicated when he falls in love with a woman who works as a security guard. She was meant to fall in love with another man. This change alters the future, forcing McKnight to fix the timeline before the people connected to her life are transformed into entirely different versions of themselves.

This was such a fun read! It reminded me of the Back to the Future movies, but with a unique twist. The time-travel machine isn’t the focus; instead, the story emphasizes the experience and consequences of traveling through time, which I found refreshing. I also liked how the narrative focused on McKnight and his crew. They worked well together and showed genuine care for one another. The romance element added another layer of enjoyment to the story.

Recommend for:

Readers who enjoy time-travel mysteries with an emotional stake, especially those who like a blend of mystery, romance, and sci-fi.
