This story is told from multiple perspectives. A neighborhood HOA group gathers for dinner parties, and at every one of them, they secretly observe and gossip about the neighbors who attend. Among them is a couple everyone seems to envy: Veronica and Ryan Hartley. They appear to be the perfect couple. The men want to be with Veronica, and the women want to be Ryan’s wife. Eventually, we learn the truth about this perfect couple.
At first, I wasn’t sure about the multiple POVs because the characters all seem to be very similar in characteristics, but once I got into the rhythm of the story, I couldn’t put the book down. I actually ended up really enjoying it. This would have been a great full-length novel.
Who should read this book: If you’re a fan of domestic thrillers or psychological drama with multiple perspectives, this one is for you.
