This is my third attempt at Inktober. The last couple of times I tried it, I didn’t follow the Inktober official challenge list here. I followed other artists’ lists and after a few days, I gave up. This time, I’m going by the official list.
The art supplies I’ll be using will be limited to a few items. My goal is to use black and white gouache (with a limited usage of more colorful gouaches), Micron pens, and a pencil to do pre-sketching. I’ll be using this 7.48″x7.48″ Lightwish watercolor journal and these Princeton brushes.
DAY 1
The first challenge was called “Mustache.” I had meant to take a photo of the sketch before painting, but had forgotten so there’s a little paint on it.

DAY 2
This one was called “Weave.” I couldn’t decide between a large weaved basket or a small one, but I was sure I wanted a cute robot to hold the basket.
Completed. Photographed with the paints and pens I used.
I hope I can stick to this one. It’s a challenge finding time to come up with ideas for each prompt and then sketching and painting. I hope to share a completed flip through on my Youtube channel once I finish, that is, IF I finish.
Are you doing Inktober? Let me know or share your website or Youtube. I’d love to see!
