This story is about a married couple, Willy and Marianne who were trying for a baby, but things didn’t work out. They decided to leave town to get away to try to heal from it. Willy works from home while Marianne goes into town to work. Willy would take breaks and walk through the forest. This walk also leads to a small mom-and-pop shop on the other side of woods. One day Willy bought more than he could carry, and the owner, an old man, offered him an aged baby carriage. On his way home, he thought he heard a baby crying from the carriage and checked. He checked the carriage, but there were no baby. Willy, who had yearned for a baby, wasn’t frightened by the sound of the crying baby. In fact, he enjoyed the company and wanted more of it. Marianne was repelled by the carriage so tossed it away only to find Willy finding and promising to return it. Turns out, the carriage was part of a ritual involving the owners of the mom-and-pop shop and a few others and things got pretty crazy.

Totally enjoyed this short story. It was a quick read and to-the-point. It wasn’t super scary but there was enough in there that sent chills up my spine.

Who should read this book: Great for all horror lovers.
