This story is about a journalist named Mave Kitten. It starts out with journal entries from Mave’s point-of-view. Halfway through the story, it picks up with Mave meeting up with her boss, Lisa, as they try to figure out some strangeness in a canal. This situation leads them to a swamp where they end up helping a woman who lives in the swamp.
This was a light and fun read. I enjoyed the writing and the friendship bond between Mave and Lisa. I also liked the kindness they showed toward the mysterious creature from the swamp.
Who should read this book: If you enjoy stories about friendship with a modern fantasy twist, I’d give this one a read.
