This is a collection of poems written to touch your soul. There’s meaning in every poem and quite a few of them were very touching and nearly had me in tears. I felt like these poems came from the author’s heart, because as I read them, I felt as though I was delving into a deep and personal area of the author’s life.

The poems were written beautifully. At times, I felt as though I was reading part of a longer story because they were written so well that the words felt lyrical and flowed smoothly. The author has a way with words, and it showed in her well-articulated stanzas. I should add too that I read a few of the poems more than once because they just meant so much.

It’s been a while since I’ve read a good poem book and this one is at the top of my list. I can’t say enough about how clean and meaningful each poem was. I wanted more but it ended too soon. There was one thing about this ebook that bothered me and it’s that it was written on a black background with white cursive text. The black background made it difficult to read and I had to zoom out to read the cursive. I’m not sure why the author chose this look, but my eyes really struggled. Other than that, I highly recommend this book if you’re a poetry lover or just want a short book of well-written poetry that will touch you in many ways.

Who should read this book: Anyone who loves poetry about life and personal struggles.
