This is a story about an ex-military named Colette Demeter who wants more than just a desk job. She’s found a job off-world and thinks it’s going to be easy getting there but learns that traveling with strangers isn’t all that she thought it would be. She notices a man who makes her heart beat a little faster and he’s her only hope of keeping it all together.
When Colette arrives on Aratus, where her job is located, she learns that the crew she’d spent time with really did care for her. She also learns that the man she was attracted to like her as well. She and the crew were asked to take a creature out and in doing so, created a heartbreaking environment, but in the end, Colette came through and succeeded in her duties.
I enjoyed this fun and quick sci-fi military adventure story with a touch of romance.
Who should read this book: If you’re into fast-paced sci-fi adventure with humor and romance you’ll enjoy this.
