Cancer is one of those things where you don’t think it can happen to you until it does and then you find yourself shocked, confused, and worried. You start to look for ways to do better and to educate yourself about the cancer you have. Rarely does a healthy person spend time worrying themselves over cancer, so it’s understandable to not be interested in reading a book about someone who’s beat it. I can relate to the author somewhat because I did have cancer, but fortunately, the biopsy turned out benign.

This book is special in that the author not only shares his story about how he learned he had cancer, but he also provides information on the medical studies around cancer, different medications and vitamins that help in keeping the cancer away, and the food and nutrition that can benefit a person in staying healthy and possibly not go down the path of cancer. The research it took to create this book was immense.

There is a lot of medical terminology and big words but it’s worthwhile to search these words up and to understand them and their role in staying healthy. There are ways to cure cancer without having to go to chemotherapy and this author proved it with his remedy. He was determined to cure his pancreatic cancer without giving up and going straight to chemo. That takes a lot of courage and researching. This isn’t to say chemo isn’t the way to go. Each person needs to look at their situation and know what’s best for them.

I think we can all learn from those who’ve had cancer and who’ve beat it. It can help us grow in our understanding of this disease. It can also help us to live a simpler, healthier, and longer life, clear of cancer.

Who should read this book: Anyone looking for additional information on the science of cancer and what direction to take so that you survive cancer or not have to experience it.
