[Sunset at School Carnival]
Last week, my 9-year-old was dying to go to her school carnival so we headed there and she had a blast. So did my my 4-year-old.
My 4-year-old refused to come down the slide. She was clogging up the line but some of the little ones just went ahead down the slide.
Then, she finally went down with the aid of one of the middle school helpers. She was so scared but the funny thing is, she went on two more slides afterward and kept wanting to go more. She also clogged up the other slides and also had the helpers go down with her each time.
When we first arrived at the carnival, my 9-year-old disappeared with her friends. There were lots of people so it was a headache trying to find her but eventually I spotted her and threatened her to stay nearby otherwise we’d go home. It didn’t work. She disappeared again. We stayed until the end so eventually I wasn’t so worried.
I don’t remember if I knew she could hula-hoop, but apparently, she could.
My 4-year-old was so excited to get a balloon crown. Can’t tell in the photo, but really, she was!
Then, she saw the hopscotch thing and couldn’t resist.
By the end of carnival, I was exhausted. After having spent most the time chasing after the girls, I was so ready for a relaxing evening . Seeing the breathtaking sunset before heading home was the perfect way to end the day.
