Chicken Laab With Home Grown Mint

In late spring I bought a baby mint plant with plans to plant it somewhere in the backyard.  I never got to it but continued to water it in hopes that I would do it over the summer.  Still never got to it.  It grew kind of wildly and I wanted to trim it but... Continue Reading →

Where Did Summer Go?

My 6-year-old started first grade. It's been hard for me to grasp this.  It feels like she was just born yesterday.  My 11-year-old will be starting middle school soon.  This will be her first year in middle school.  I don't want to even think about it yet. I tried to hold tight onto summer.  In... Continue Reading →

Made Eggs Benedict + Food Photos From Cruise Vacation

On the cruise, I had Eggs Benedict for breakfast a couple of times and just really loved it.  I've never had it before so I had nothing to compare it to. This is what I had on the cruise (taken with an old Nikon Coolpix). When I got home, I looked for Eggs Benedict and... Continue Reading →

Lobster For Dinner

The other night, the family had grilled lobster for dinner. It was our first time having lobster at home and it was delicious.  Although, our youngest daughter didn't eat any. She was saddened that the lobster was killed to be our dinner so she couldn't even look at it.

A Healthy Dinner and Veggies From The Farmer’s Market

Yesterday morning I went to the Farmer's Market and bought some broccoli and asparagus.  I mainly went because I wanted to get a photo for the 365 challenge but the broccoli and asparagus were calling my name.  I made steamed broccoli and had it with baked lemon salmon, white rice, and a veggie salad of... A Culturally Mixed Dinner And A Turmeric Rice Recipe

Husband, the kids, and I, had a big dinner last night.  I was craving kimchi so we dropped by the Asian Market and I ended up getting three different type of kimchi, plus some seaweed.  Then, we headed to the regular grocery store to get some French bread and additional ingredients for the Greek salad... Yummy Pita Bread

Over the weekend, I made pita bread.  It was my first time making it so I was surprised that it turned out pretty good. For me, the fun thing about making anything is using cute measuring cups, spoons, and bowls.  I'm still on the lookout for some fun measuring cups and bowls but I think... Continue Reading →

Bok Choy and Kabocha Squash

Mom gave me some bok choy and a kabocha squash and because my kids and husband are not fans, I have to be a little creative with what I make, otherwise most of it goes to waste. With the bok choy, I made a stir fry with chicken and a little bit of osyter sauce. ... Continue Reading →

Pumkin Bread Cravers + Autumn Fairy Fantasy Layout 3 Ways

Both my girls love pumpkin bread but Kylie goes nuts over them, especially my version.  She's been begging me to make pumpkin bread since the summer so last night I finally made a couple loaves.  She pretty much ate half of one loaf. Those slices are deceiving.  It looks like Kida got a larger slice... Continue Reading →
