Husband and I decided to remodel our kitchen. We had laminate countertops and are now going with granite. Here are some before photos:
Lunch With Husband
The girls are both officially in school for the 20016/17 school year and I am back to having more time for myself and with my husband on his days off work. I remember when the kids were babies and toddlers and kept me on my toes. Now, they rarely need me. It's nice but sometimes... Continue Reading →
Lunch With My Sister and Herbs
Went to lunch with my sister. It's always nice to spend time catching up over lots of food. After lunch, I went over to my parents' and Mom gave me some cucumbers from her garden and some Hmong herbs. Every year I ask her for herbs to plant in my pot because I don't have... Continue Reading →
Mother’s Day Wonderfulness
If you celebrate Mother's Day, I hope you had a great one. I always enjoy going over my mom's house to see my parents and siblings and to catch up on life. A lot of times, the siblings and I like to talk and debate about politics and entertainment, and at times things can get... Continue Reading →
Competition
Last week's solo competition was flawless. I don't usually get teary-eyed when I watch her perform but she had me wiping tears. She has grown so much but she is still my little girl. Photos were taken by a pro-photographer. I purchased them (they were pricey) and cleaned them up a little.
Blizzard
Schools and some businesses are closed today. It's terrible out there.
The Growing Maple

She's 4 inches taller than me now. Speaking of growth, the maple has also grown, a lot. It's still... Continue Reading →
Autumn Haze
Just the other day the first autumn fog came through the neighborhood. Some parts were thicker than others and made it look mysterious. The family calls this, "Being in the clouds," because we were literally inside a cloud.
M-O-O-N
Spells lunar eclipse! I just got done reading The Stand by Stephen King, if you know what I mean. 🙂 The other day the family went out to see the lunar eclipse. It was amazing. Husband used the Nikkor 55-200 lens and tripod to capture it.
August Random Photos
This was a busy month with the kids starting school and all but I was able to capture a couple of exciting things. The magnolia tree (bush) bloomed. It normally blooms in the spring, but with the wild weather we've been having, I think the magnolia forgot what season it was. With the wildfires in... Continue Reading →
