Twenty-sixteen went by fast. I now have a feeling technology makes life move faster. Not literally, of course, but just the time spent on the Internet on social media, blogs, and smartphones takes up almost every minute of our lives. I'm happy to say that I was still able to accomplish 2 of my 5... Continue Reading →
2016 December Daily Supplies and 2015 December Daily Photos
Last year I did my first December Daily album. December Daily is a term Ali Edwards uses to describe a scrapbooking photo documenting method for the month of December. I didn't do it sooner because I was doing Project Life (a documenting method by Becky Higgins) and Project Life takes a lot of time. Once... Continue Reading →
Completed NaNoWriMo!
I completed 50K words on November 30th! This month's goal was to do another 20K to finish the novel, but unfortunately, I just can't find the time this month to do that. In January, I will get it done.
My NaNoWriMo Status
I can't believe I've written my novel every day since the first of this month. It feels great. My fingertips hurt from typing but just seeing how I'm getting so close to 50K words is exhilarating. Honestly, I wouldn't be writing this much and my story wouldn't be flourishing right in front of me if... Continue Reading →
Acrylic Painting of Couple In Rain
A year ago I came across a painting tutorial on Youtube of a couple in the rain and really wanted to attempt it but I didn't have the resources at the time. I waited until I collected everything I needed and the courage to paint something of this size. For me, it wasn't an easy... Continue Reading →
In The Rain Acrylic Painting
Finished this piece last week. You can check my steps and the YT tutorial I followed on my craft blog: A Quiet Craft Space.
Artifact Uprising And NaNoWriMo
Welcome November! October felt a little long this year but it could be due to the steady weather we've had. Just maybe a couple of days of rain during the night and zero snow. Anyhow, in mid-September, Artifact Uprising offered free square prints and I thought I'd try it out to see what's so special... Continue Reading →
Happy Halloween!
Decided to dress up this year for the Knights of Columbus Halloween party and will also be doing the same look for tonight's trick-or-treating. This look was founded on Instagram and seemed easy enough. It wasn't as easy as it looked, to be honest, but the end result was so much fun to look at. ... Continue Reading →
Watercolor Leaves
Some watercolors I did through a course on Skillshare. I used the Kuretake watercolor set I posted a photo of in a previous post. I am getting a lot more comfortable with watercolor but I am still far from my own style and confidence. I've also learned that paper quality is very important. In the... Continue Reading →
October Colors
Took these earlier this month and just really love the colors. It had rained during the night, and as always, the rain makes everything more vibrant. Our Keeshond, Teddy, will be turning 4 years old on the 31st of this month. Each year, I love her more and more. She is great company and so... Continue Reading →
