Last week's solo competition was flawless. I don't usually get teary-eyed when I watch her perform but she had me wiping tears. She has grown so much but she is still my little girl. Photos were taken by a pro-photographer. I purchased them (they were pricey) and cleaned them up a little.
This was yesterday. ...and this is today. Lots of places are closed today including my girls' dance studio. They have a spring performance coming up and I wonder how they'll ever get the dances done with all the snow days we've been having. Schools and some businesses are closed today. It's terrible out there.
These Shaman bells are used in Hmong spiritual rituals. I am not Shaman so I am not familiar with the rituals. I only know that they are used but I have no idea how and what for. Another term for the spirit calling is "jingle bells," or in Hmong, Hu Plig (pronounced, who-plee).
This is a fine beauty. I've heard that it's hard to start using it. I'd have to agree. I had ideas for it while it was in transit, but now that it's in my hands, I don't know if I can do anything other than stare at it.
Just for the month of January, I'm going to give some of my time to digi-scrapping. It's been a very long time (it feels that way) since I've done any digi-scrapping.
