Bujo Pages: April 2024

Now onto working on May’s pages. I’ve fallen behind somehow, and I think it’s due to having very little time to print my photos. So, because of that, I’ve remedied the situation by getting a new printer: a Kodak Mini 2 Retro. This prints 2.1×3.4 photos using a dye sublimation system, same as my Canon 4×6 Selphy printer.

I still use the Selphy, but it’s just a bit clunky. The only thing I’m not too happy with, with the Kodak one, is that the battery goes out quickly, so I have charge constantly. Other than that, I don’t know why I didn’t get one sooner. It’s such a time saver. Lately, I’ve been using my 12×12 Canon Pixma to print photos and the laser to print the monthly intro pages. This was too time consuming because, even though I print on 4×6 photo paper, I still have to trim the photos down to 2×3 or smaller. I print book covers for books I’ve read too, for my book bujo, so I do a ton of printing.

Do you use a mini printer (whether it’s a Z-ink mini printer or a dye sublimation), and what do you think of it?

Made My Sister’s Cornish Hen Recipe

For Mother’s Day, in May, one of my sister’s gave the siblings a Cornish hen recipe. I finally made it this month and it was delicious. It was so easy to make. The rub mix and Rosemary herb she included were the perfect combination.

I still have some leftover rub mix and the Rosemary, so I’ll be making another one of these.

Do you have a favorite Cornish hen recipe?

Also, my sister has a blog, so if you’d like to follow her, go here: A Lilac Life.

Weekend Swim Meet

I can’t believe daughter’s swim meets are almost over. She has one more regular meet before Championships and All Stars. During this past weekend’s meet, her goggles came off while she was swimming the 50 fly (butterfly stroke) during the medley relay. That’s the worst thing that could ever happen, especially during the fly. Her goggles have come off before during other strokes, but they weren’t as physically draining as the fly. She wears prescription goggles, so imagine not being able to see where you’re going. She did great though.

Bujo Pages: March 2024

It’s been a busy month. I’ve got a couple of book reviews to post and a few books to read before the end of the month. I think I might only be able to get through two more books. Daughter started swim meets and I think that’s what put me behind.

Anyway, here’s the March bujo pages. I’ll share April’s next week along with the book reviews.

I’m using an Archer & Olive A5 notebook inside a Chic Sparrow A5 Austen Darcy leather notebook cover. Starting this month, I’ve taken out the notebook and am using the notebook cover for something else.

Do you bujo? I’d love to see how you organize your months!
