A couple of creative things I did last month. Sketched a girl with the idea that she fell upon an island of pig-nosed humans. They took her and converted her nose to one of theirs because it benefited her in that she would be able to smell danger and poison and such much easier and... Continue Reading →
The Growing Maple
Earlier this week I was standing next to my oldest daughter and found myself really tilting my head up to look at her. Suddenly it occurred to me that she had grown a few more inches! She's 4 inches taller than me now. Speaking of growth, the maple has also grown, a lot. It's still... Continue Reading →
Autumn Haze
Just the other day the first autumn fog came through the neighborhood. Some parts were thicker than others and made it look mysterious. The family calls this, "Being in the clouds," because we were literally inside a cloud.
Staying Healthy
Last week husband and I went to the reservoir to do some running (him) and biking (me). The weather was perfect. I had my phone with me so I took some pictures. One of these days I plan to take the DSLR and take much better photos. For now I think these don't look so... Continue Reading →
M-O-O-N
Spells lunar eclipse! I just got done reading The Stand by Stephen King, if you know what I mean. 🙂 The other day the family went out to see the lunar eclipse. It was amazing. Husband used the Nikkor 55-200 lens and tripod to capture it.
August Random Photos
This was a busy month with the kids starting school and all but I was able to capture a couple of exciting things. The magnolia tree (bush) bloomed. It normally blooms in the spring, but with the wild weather we've been having, I think the magnolia forgot what season it was. With the wildfires in... Continue Reading →
Proud Mom

They have bad days and good day and so do I. I don't spoil them...well, I try not to and I don't think they're spoiled... Continue Reading →
Vail
Over the weekend the family went to the International Evening of Dance up in Vail with the girls' dance school. The families went separately and met up there. The event was a couple of weeks long and covered all kinds of dancing including hip hop, modern, and ballet. We only went for one day and... Continue Reading →
July 2009 – Demi Lovato Concert
This was a busy month with my sister's wedding and my daughters attending a new dance studio and my oldest daughter's first dance performance with the new studio dancers. I didn't get a chance to take too many photos. In fact, I don't think I took any photos with the DSLR aside from the photos... Continue Reading →
DIY Passport Size Fauxdori
I've been doing a ton of Youtube and Google research on the Fauxdori, an imitation (DIY) version of the Midori Traveler's Notebook, and finally found the courage and materials to make my first two. The leather were scraps...I was aware that there would be dents and stuff on them which was fine with me since... Continue Reading →
