Really enjoyed this lesson on color harmony and on canvas. I had some canvas boards on hand. Had them for maybe 2 or 3 years for a rainy day when my daughters might want to paint. Took one apart to paint in smaller blocks (see previous post for example). Ephemera by Pink Paislee. Stencils by... Continue Reading →
Tints and Shades
Sorry for the bad quality of photo. There wasn't enough light and I upped the ISO pretty high thus the graininess. This assignment asked for stamped butterflies or similar but I don't have a lot of stamps so I decided to create the butterflies in Photoshop and overlay with digital scrapbooking papers (which I have... Finishing Up on Color Theory Class
The Color Theory class ended last week but I wasn't able to finish my layouts so I'm working on them this week. I've got two done and one more to go. I haven't had the chance to take photos of the completed ones but here are a few photos of what it looks like when... Continue Reading →
Stencils and Achromatic Colors
Die cuts from Wilna Furstenberg. Cut them out with the Silhouette Portrait then stenciled them using gel matte medium with some white acrylic paint. For the grayish colors behind the other cut outs, I used calligraphy ink by Parker, and added a little bit of water to lighten up the ink. Patterned paper by Amy... Continue Reading →
Writing with Acrylic
Writing with paint was a challenge. I used Wilna Furstenberg's premade script and painted over it as she did but it's not as easy as she made it seem. I enjoyed it though and hope to continue working on my text painting. Used Amy Tangerine patterned paper and ephemera pieces by Teresa Collins. Love badge... Continue Reading →
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
A gift from a co-worker from my last job for my birthday (which is in December) in 2004. I guess I could just wear this scent and not have to wear green and I shouldn't get pinched, right?
Memory
The photo challenge for week 9 was "memory." I went with two that mean a lot to me: Dune by Christian Dior and the white orchid. Dune was given to me by a co-worker when I was about 21 years old and worked at a bank. She was a french lady with the cutest french... Continue Reading →
February 2015 Random Photos
I had fun this month with the camera. Enjoy these... The family Keeshond, Teddy. She is the sweetest dog ever. She follows me everywhere and just plops down by my feet and sleeps. With husband, she's a little different. She'll wag her tail, jump on him, and want to play with him. Another thing about... Continue Reading →
Project Life 2015 Week 4
I used Photoshop CS6 to create the first two layouts and the Project Life App to create the last two (which I have made smaller and put them side by side). The kits used in creating these layouts are: Project52, Kraft Edition, Plus One Mini Kit by Amy Tangerine, and Once Upon A Poppy by... Continue Reading →
EOS
She loves her EOS lipbalms. She doesn't wear them...just likes the way they look and smell. Thought about removing the little hairs in her face but decided not to. It makes her who she is.
