April 2022 Playlist

I was surprised to see the magnolia in the backyard bloom. A few years back only a few flowers bloomed, so I thought this bush was on its way out, but I’m so glad it’s still thriving.

I finished Camp Nano and hit over 100K words so I’m really happy that I was able to get that far. My goal was 80K. As a gift to myself, I purchased quite a few celebrity perfumes. Once I receive them all, I’ll probably share some photos.

Something was in the air in April and I got hooked on the song “Never Enough” from the movie, The Greatest Showman. Have you seen the movie? What did you think? It came out in 2017 but I only watched it a year ago and I wish I had seen it sooner. I knew how popular a lot of the songs were, but there is so much more meaning in having watched the movie. I love the original “Never Enough” version by Loren Allred, but also love Morrissette Amon’s version as well as Kelly Clarkson’s. If you get the chance, watch Morrisette’s version. It’s very beautiful. Here’s Kelly’s version. I believe they’ve played this on the radio. I remember hearing it driving the kids to dance practice when oldest daughter was still in high school. She’s now finishing up her second year of university!

Here are a few other songs I listened to:

Je T’aime Till My Dying Day” by Enigma

Glass Palace” by Jens Gad

March 2022 Playlist

The movie “Free Guy” came out last year and at first I didn’t have any interest in watching it because I’m not a fan of Ryan Reynolds, but I ended up watching it and it’s become one of my favorite movies. It is soooo good! I loved the storyline and all the great actors. Even though Ryan basically played himself, I think he meant to let all the other talents shine, and they did.

The song “Sweet Fantasy” by Mariah Carey is pretty much the main theme song. However, the version below is so beautiful. I didn’t know this happy and bubbly song could be turned into something so heartfelt. It’s played near the end of the movie when the main character was separated from his friend on the platform going across the water. I learned that the actress who played Milli/Molotov, Jodie Comer, sang it. That made the movie all the more amazing. So, March’s favorite pick from my playlist is the cover of “Sweet Fantasy.”

Digital Layouts & Songs

Here are my digital layouts for the rest of the 12 Days of December Challenge at Oscraps.

Day 7 was create a border challenge. I used a photo of Teddy I took on the 7th. It’s also a layout I’ll be including in my December Daily.

Day 8 was a game called “Kick Out.” We were to share what we weren’t going to miss in 2021.

Day 9 was a word art challenge. I first made this layout:

Then, realized it had to also include a celebration, so I made this one as well.

Day 10 was a re-do layout challenge. I decided to redo a layout from 2008 when I was on a creative team. Here’s that layout.

This is the re-do:

Day 11 was a “This or That” game. From two choices, you choose one, then write down two choices for the next person to choose one from. That person then posts two choices for the next person to choose from.

Day 12 (last day!) was to create a layout with Christmas lyrics. It was a tie between “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” by Casting Crowns or “Ring Christmas Bells,” by Ray Conniff and the Ray Conniff Singers. I ended up doing the layout with the song by Casting Crowns.

I went with “I Heard the Bells On Christmas Day” because we could all do for a little bit of peace and love in the world.

However, “Ring Christmas Bells,” is beautiful in that haunting epic way, just like how I like my epic/trailer music.

Both songs have amazing choir and music.

Music

I’ve been binge watching “Chuck” on Amazon Prime. When the show first came out, I watched an episode or two but didn’t have the time to keep up with it. I’m so happy that it’s on AP. One of the episode played “One More Try” by Timmy T in the background. That just totally solidified my love for the show. That song brought back so many memories.

This song came to me early one morning. I know why but I’ve got a lot of memories attached to it. It was used in a TV series called “Mr. Robot” but I haven’t seen it. I remember the song from “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.”

“In Time” by Robbi Rob

Here’s one that I just love. It’s a timeless song.

“Kiss the Rain” by Billie Myers
