I created the above paper layout by following the steps from Wilna Furstenberg at Studiocalico.com. She used gel paint in her tutorial but I don’t have gel paint so I used what was available to me, which was, gel matte medium, and acrylic paints. The intricate die cut was created by Wilna as a freebie. I used the Silhouette Portrait to cut it out and then gently removed it from the mat with an exacto knife and a plastic scraper. It’s a little time consuming but it’s one gorgeous piece of die cut.
This layout was so much fun to make. I’ve never used paint on a scrapbook page like this so it was a really great learning experience.
I couldn’t resist making another layout. This one is very plane but I love it.

It’s no fun walking in someone else’s shoes but why do we want to sometimes? I don’t normally wear pumps because they hurt my feet like crazy and they make me feel miserable if I have to wear them. I prefer my very old and comfy pair of Dansko clogs or sandles to heels anytime. Yet, I find myself drawn to the heels section at a shoe shop.
Here is a blog hop freebie in celebration of iNSD (International Scrapbooking Day) which is tomorrow, May 4th. Create whatever you want with it.
